The Capek Prize

Honoring Excellence in Robotics and Automation

The Capek Prize, organized by the Capek Prize Committee, is named after the great Czech science fiction writer Karel Čapek, the creator of the term "robot". Established in 2014, the award has been successfully held for ten consecutive years and has gained significant attention and recognition in the industry.

The prize rewards organizations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the field of robotics, aiming to serve as a witness to the development of the robotics industry and to become the "Nobel Prize" of the robotics field. The establishment of this award aims to position visionary leading enterprises in the robotics industry as benchmarks, elevating their brand image; to promote innovative enterprises as models, driving the overall innovation capability of the industry; and to recognize individuals who actively contribute to the industry's development, acknowledging their efforts.

Today, the Capek Prize has become a significant award in the field of robotics. It plays an important role in promoting the healthy and sustainable development of the robotics industry, as well as in reviewing and documenting the impact of the robotics industry on manufacturing and human lifestyles.

I. About the Capek Prize

The Capek Prize (The Capek Prize) is organized by the Capek Prize Committee and named after the great Czech science fiction writer Karel Čapek, the creator of the term "robot". Established in 2014, it has been successfully held for eleven consecutive sessions and has received significant attention and recognition from the industry. The prize rewards organizations and individuals who have made contributions to the field of robotics, aiming to serve as a witness to the development of the robotics industry and to establish itself as the "Nobel Prize" of the robotics sector.

The establishment of this award aims to benchmark visionary leading enterprises in the robotics industry, elevating their overall brand image; to promote innovative companies as exemplary models, driving the overall innovation capability of the industry; and to honor individuals who actively contribute to the industry's development, acknowledging their contributions. Today, the Capek Prize has become a significant award in the field of robotics, playing a crucial role in promoting the healthy and sustainable development of the robotics industry, as well as reviewing and documenting the impact of the robotics industry on manufacturing and human lifestyles.

II. Eligibility
  1. Open to enterprises, institutions, and individuals engaged in robotics-related business activities, including robot manufacturers, core component enterprises, system integrators, universities, and related organizations.
  2. Products that meet the award classification for the current year and are sold in China or have the capability to be launched in the market with plans for sale in China. The brand registration location of the participating products is not limited, and applications from branches registered in China are accepted.
  3. Integrated application projects that have been accepted and are operating stably within the current year. The applying unit's main business should be providing industrial robot automation and intelligent system integration solutions.
  4. Vocational and undergraduate colleges and universities offering robotics and related majors.
III. Award Categories and Description

1. Brand Awards

Four major awards: Annual Outstanding Brand, Annual Value Brand, Annual Innovation Brand, Annual Emerging Brand. Selected from nine sub-sectors: Industrial Robots, Collaborative Robots, Special Robots, Mobile Robots, Service Robots, Artificial Intelligence, Humanoid Robots, Components, and Integrators. Please refer to the recommendation application form (Attachment 1).

2. Product Awards

Three major awards: Annual Technological Innovation Product Award, Annual Industrial Design Product Award, Annual Best Quality Product Award. Selected from eight sub-sectors: Industrial Robots, Collaborative Robots, Special Robots, Mobile Robots, Service Robots, Humanoid Robots, and Components. The Annual Best Quality Product Award is newly added this year, recognizing China Robot CR Certification. Please refer to the recommendation application form (Attachment 2).

3. Application Scene Awards

Three major awards: Annual Outstanding Application Scene, Annual Demonstration Application Scene, Annual Innovation Application Scene. Selected from five sub-sectors: Automotive, 3C Electronics, Service Industry, Safety & Emergency Response, and General Industry. Only system integrator enterprises are eligible to apply. Please refer to the recommendation application form (Attachment 3).

4. Individual Awards

Eight major awards: Annual Outstanding Scholar Award, Annual Distinguished Young Scholar Award, Annual Outstanding Entrepreneur Award, Annual Emerging Entrepreneur Award, Annual Outstanding Manager Award, Annual Excellent Manager Award, Annual Outstanding Engineer Award, Annual Excellent Engineer Award. Open to scholars, entrepreneurs, managers, and engineers. Please refer to the recommendation application form (Attachment 4).

5. Social Organization Awards

Two awards: Annual Outstanding Robotics Park Award, Annual Outstanding Organization Award. Open to robotics industrial parks, robotics industry associations, and other related industry organizations. Please refer to the application form (Attachment 5).

6. Industry-Education Integration Top 50

For vocational and undergraduate colleges and universities offering robotics and related majors. Please refer to the application form (Attachment 6).

Note: If the award ceremony needs to be postponed due to force majeure, the organizing committee will notify separately.

V. Requirements and Instructions
  1. Applicants should carefully complete the application form. After completion, please send the application form (Word electronic version), company logo (AI, PS, CDR format source files), product introduction, personal high-definition portrait photos, and other materials to the organizing committee's email address capek@robot-china.com before March 15th. The folder should be named with the full name of the unit or individual. Also, print the recommendation application form, sign and seal it, and courier it to the committee (COD not accepted). Late submissions will not be accepted.

VI. Fee Description
  1. Fee Standard: The 12th Capek Prize selection activity charges an application fee of 3,000 RMB or 500 USD (charged per enterprise or individual; if the same enterprise applies for multiple awards, only one fee will be charged).
  2. Fee Details: Includes 3 free conference participation slots.
  3. Additional Notes: Fees will not be refunded after registration and payment without proper justification.
